Cold Feet

Just thought I'd share what we got up to in our Modalities lab in PT school today. We are learning about icing injuries. My foot was here for 11 minutes:


Eleven minutes! ...actually, it wasn't too bad. The first 2-3 minutes were excruciating, and after that it went numb and was actually quite pleasant. And if you're asking yourselves why we would do such a thing, I think the sole purpose was for us to be able to empathize with patients when we do the same thing to them.
